The Alliance holds events throughout the year that further our mission, including community conversations, educational workshops, planning meetings, and gatherings for specific audiences, like teens, partners, parents, Alliance leaders, etc. On this page, we attempt to list all events related to our work, including events sponsored by our partners.
Each event indicates an intended audience, with a link to RSVP when available. However, events are open to anyone interested in attending.
Future Events by Date
Weekly parenting tips on ways to foster genuine success that help kids become the pilots of their own lives. Learn about the eight core internal abilities found in the Compass Advantage Model of positive youth development.
Each month, starting in October, 2016 through May, 2017 we will explore one of the eight attributes all kids need to be healthy and productive in life. Watch weekly for new blog and Facebook postings. Please help us start a Bainbridge learning community around cultivating what matters by starting a community conversation with us.

1/31/17: “What’s the Harm?” A Panel Discussion of Teen Substance Use and Abuse
A crowd of 334 adults heard expert panelists share their views on teen substance use. Panelists also shared tips on prevention strategies for parents which were brought to life through role plays.

1/17/17: Pulling Back the Curtain on Behavior: How the Brain is Changed through Experience.
73 local leaders participated in three hours of free professional development training, learning the science behind human behavior, ethe impacts of trauma, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) & toxic stress on our brains, bodies, behaviors and choices. Facilitated by Kody Russell, MSW.

April 23, 2016: Summit #5 Teen Kindness Campaign Bainbridge High School
Over 40 teens gave five hours of their time on a Saturday towards envisioning an even better school culture at BHS.
Working with facilitators form the Association of Washington Student Leaders, teens designed posters expressing their ideas.
Using this input, a student task force subsequently honed a set of value statements and quotes that expressed the full scope of their vision.
These ideas were paired with student photographs and made into banners that now hang in every building on the Bainbridge High School Campus.
